  4.     You called the Great Montana Centennial Cattle Drive a "load
  5. of bull" (NATION, Sept. 18). Smile when you say that, pardner. The
  6. world witnessed the splendid spectacle of 100 real Montana cowboys
  7. bringing 3,000 cattle into Billings after a 60-mile drive, along
  8. with 3,000 outriders on horse and wagon who never had more fun in
  9. their lives. Contrary to your dyspeptic assertions, the great
  10. cattle drives of the past have not faded from Montana's memories;
  11. nor have traditional values, the spirit of the Old West or the
  12. celebration of life departed this state.
